Grading in Apple Valley

We’ve been the High Desert’s choice in commercial grading since 1980, and it’s no wonder!
Though we are based in Apple Valley, CA, we travel all over the Hi-Desert, to bring you exceptional grade from the best! Whether the job you need done is in Hesperia, Victorville, Barstow, Adelanto, Wrightwood, or our home of Apple Valley, we’ve got you covered. Grading has been an area of expertise for us for quite some time. And that allows us to be experienced in an array of grading needs. Whether you need rough grading, or fine grading, we have all the heavy equipment to get the job done right. We know our backhoes, dozers, and front end loaders like the back of our hands. So, not only will the job get done, it’ll get done right.

With pride taken in the work we’ve completed in the Hi Desert for 30 plus years now, it’s no wonder Yeghoian Grading & Paving is the obvious choice. You see, whether you need grading done for a high school track, the laying down of a new lot, or in preparation for some fine commercial landscaping, we have decades of experience in all of the above!
And again, we always have the right tools for the job.

Heavy Equipment

Be it a front end loader, backhoe, or dozer, we have all the heavy equipment needed for the right job, and we always come out prepared. No need to rent your own. No need to get your grade on elsewhere. We pride ourselves in versatility. We pride ourselves in being the best in grading commercial sites. It’s been that way since Yeghoian Grading & Paving began. While the temptation to rent your own heavy equipment may arise, the smarter choice is to go with those licensed to operate. Yep! That would be us!

Rather than attempt to read operation manuals on a backhoe, give us a call at (760) 247-8741. Don’t want to figure out how to run a front end loader with your neighbor? Do it legally, and do it right. Get a free estimate here. We understand the frustrations that can come when trying to grade on your own, which is why we don’t recommend it. Sure, we’re not your typical general contractors, but we have definitely graded ourselves out the perfect niche, and we like it that way! Hey, would you rather hire someone to do some “general” work, or would you rather hire grading experts to take care of the job with fine precision?

Landscaping Services

Talk about precision! So, you hired someone to map out your commercial landscaping. But now you need the dirty work done (literally). The landscape designs won’t bring themselves to life, you know! That’s where we come in.

Now, we’re not talking about all the finishing touches with the perfectly placed peonies. One of those friendly landscaping companies, The Grounds Guys, might be able to help you out there. No, we’re talking about all the work you don’t see. The smoothing that happens before you can plant your greener than green grass – a key ingredient to your grading needs. Call us the landscaping services moles! I mean, someone’s gotta take all those big, obnoxious rocks out of the way, so your roots can be happy, right? And hey. Look at the plus! Perhaps you could even keep those guys for some landscaping rocks…maybe. Talk about upcycling, huh?

All in all, with any landscape, the bottom line is you’ll need a good grading job. Without it, don’t count on those planted trees to last longer than a season. We bring in a land surveyor, the best crew, and the hard working machinery. Moving dirt the right way is a must when it comes to a beautiful landscaping job.

Rough Grading

Did someone say “moving dirt?” That’s right! It’s a dirty job, and it’s a fun job. Not everyone gets to have as much fun playing with dirt for a career as we do. And we get to play rough.

Rough grading is a term we know well, but before we get too into it, let’s easily define it for ya here too. The rough grading definition is grading that is completed on a large scale over a large area prior to preliminary grading and which when completed is within two vertical feet of the site’s final grade elevations. Talk about technicalities, right? But, if that did interest you, feel free to dig even deeper (punny) and check out this forum on rough grading vs. fine grading.

Yes, the rough grading process allows us to move all the big stuff out of the way, but what about rough grading cost? Remember, you can always click here to get a free estimate!

You may even wonder why you need rough grading in the first place. Well, considering that we live in a desert, it can be a pretty rough country in some parts. So, before thinking you’ve got the full idea for rough grading specification, give us a call to see why it would be a smart move to make a rough grading plan. There. Did we say “rough grading” enough for ya? Let’s give you a break from that one for a bit then.

Fine Grading

When it comes to any grading job, you want to know the difference between grading of fine and coarse aggregates. That’s why we cut out a segment on final grading just for you.

The final grade is vital to the whole of the grade. Grading of fine aggregate allows the surface to be clean and free of sticks, roots, and clay. The fine grading process is the work of ensuring a level base (or one with a specified slope) for construction work such as a foundation, the base course for a road or a railway, or the landscape and garden improvements we discussed earlier. And even for surface drainage.

A real grading job isn’t complete without that finishing touch of a good fine grade.

So, there you have it! If you wanted to know what we here could do to help you out with your next grading job, we hope this was helpful and informative 🙂
